Open Learning
Open Learning: A term
- two completely different definitions: first
Definition according to Wikipedia:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Offenes_Lernen
"open learning students consistently viewed each page and is learning that by the students are self-determined [...] learners are no longer dependent on (specialized) didactic material hierarchies, they are not tied to courses for learning. Instead, determine their interests, their cross-disciplinary learning and the social process in the class ....
second Definition, much more in common with reality:
Open Learning is a teaching method that is designed largely used even if the teacher (in this case, not a mentor but a Fascilator) too lazy the students, a sometimes very difficult (which I personally consider to be unreasonable) chapter (eg cell biology) of the core material, (exactly) to explain.
Extras / Procedure: The teacher collects
practice notes, where the relationships between the different areas barely understands and puts her on the desk. The Hands are dealt or are brought by the students opt wider. In a very short time exceeds the noise level in the class (classroom), the concentration limit which slows down the solution of the tasks considerably. In the same period of Fascilator little attempt is made to reduce the noise. (The students are still "cooperate" miteinder and for each other I always find it ridiculous, as is sometimes the class teacher trying to keep quiet Here are a few examples.
- "... you Schhhhht soit quiet sien"
- "Wuest you know that i di from da class außischmeiss? Zapalott nu amoi ^ ^
!!!!" I think the most effective method of the class is to keep quiet: PUPILS AND THREATENS shouting! Sad but true. Fortunately, use it but some teachers at our school.
Ehhm. I got distracted me apparently.
Well ... the lesson draws to a close, and even the most productive group of students do not get very far.
Epilogue:
Then the teacher says it is the lezte hour before test, test material is page 44-53 and the "open learning". The teacher is pleased from the class, because he has saves the "old fashioned" dictation and write on the board chillig ÖPU the magazine has gelesen.Eine amusing hour, is not it?
And the students, what do the students. The students are split into two groups: first
"Strebaweiba" to check everything anyway from the start.
second "Desperate students," to which I belong, the other in vain "OPFA" call and "I check the XYZ ned!"
PS I will degrade to this essay in no way the teachers that without bringing the "traditional" methods of knowledge in our silly heads. Such teachers I respect as well.
What do you think that?
If I lie somewhere completely wrong, please comment too!
